The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
myfriend shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Man as he jumps to the side.
myfriend fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Man moves into the clinch.
Man drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
myfriend misses with the head strike.
myfriend looking for a takedown.

A short uppercut from Man.
Man has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. myfriend is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

myfriend decides to pull guard.

myfriend is working an open guard so Man takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Man moves in looking to clinch but myfriend pushes him off.

Despite being in the dominant position, Hugh Man just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch up but myfriend swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Man moves in looking to clinch but myfriend pushes him off.
Man tries to clinch up but myfriend circles away and keeps his distance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
myfriend doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Man counters with a nice double leg into side control. myfriend won't be happy with that.
myfriend avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Man.
myfriend manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
myfriend is looking to escape.
myfriend throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Man is pressing down on myfriend's thigh, looking to free his foot. myfriend is holding on for now.
myfriend tries to kick Man off but Man keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Man is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

myfriend avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but myfriend paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Mahmet myfriend seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Man counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
myfriend avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
myfriend throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Man wants to clinch.
Man tries to clinch but myfriend is having none of it.
myfriend throws a sloppy head kick and Man moves out of range easily.
myfriend fails to land the takedown.

myfriend gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Man makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Man tries to clinch up but myfriend circles away and keeps his distance.
A head kick by myfriend - that's a beauty! Man is out but he's somehow still standing... he's going... going... gone. Like a drunk walking down the middle of the road, the inevitable face plant follows and the delayed knockout arrives. Even myfriend can't help but laugh at the bizarre end to this one!
