Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roy Mitchel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tokahuro Nagabushi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
7 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roy Mitchel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tokahuro Nagabushi!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nagabushi throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Mitchel counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Mitchel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nagabushi circles away quickly and effectively.
Nagabushi throws a head kick that misses.
Mitchel tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nagabushi was well out of range. Poor timing from Mitchel.
Mitchel throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Nagabushi's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Mitchel dives in looking to finish as Nagabushi flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Mitchel's strikes! Mitchel is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Nagabushi's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Nagabushi was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roy Mitchel!
