Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jericho Datu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giuseppe Omni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Datu comes to the cage accompanied by Ridin Dirty. Omni has chosen Search and Destroy as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jericho Datu has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omni shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Datu as he avoids it easily.

Datu clinches up against the cage.

Omni breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Omni closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Omni lands in his opponent's guard.

Omni shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Datu sprawls well. Datu wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Omni gets slowly back to his feet.
Omni is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Datu drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Omni manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Datu has Omni in his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Datu has managed to clinch.
A short uppercut from Omni.
Datu tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Giuseppe Omni seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Omni scores to the head and body with a nice combination!

Datu is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Omni still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Omni has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
Datu tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Omni wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
