The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGarry uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tap.
Tap misses with a hook. McGarry ducked under it nicely.
Tap uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

It looks like Leo McGarry has been cut.
McGarry shoots in looking for a takedown. Tap tries to sprawl out of it but McGarry keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Tap manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Tap connects with a single shot there.
McGarry ducks under a wild hook from Tap.
McGarry throws a combination that misses
and Tap counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Tap rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGarry moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

McGarry shoots in and bounces Tap off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Tap trying to keep a closed guard but McGarry is proving a slippery customer.
Tap on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Tap tries to get out of the position.
McGarry is stalling in the full guard.

McGarry gets to his feet. Tap looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
McGarry uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Tap.
Tap looks to land a combination but McGarry avoids it well.
Tap throws a chopping leg kick but McGarry manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Tap looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
An inside leg kick from Tap misses.
Tap tries to work over McGarry's front leg with a kick but McGarry checks it.
McGarry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McGarry throws a lazy body kick
and Tap counters with a stiff right hand.
McGarry shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
McGarry slips under a jab.
Tap lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McGarry at a distance.
Sloppy strikes from Tap. Those never looked like landing.

Tap keeps the fight on the outside.

McGarry has taken the fight to the clinch.
McGarry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tap's efforts to push away.
Tap jumps guard but McGarry stands there with Tap around his waist. Tap gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tap looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jus Tap. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A head punch on the inside from McGarry fails to land.

McGarry pulls Tap into guard.

McGarry has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tap can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McGarry had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Tap defends it easily.

McGarry looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Tap is defending well. McGarry quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Tap has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! McGarry celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
