Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Hyde (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dan Hyde!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch but Hyde is having none of it.
Jones could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Jones!

Jones throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Hyde tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jones is in Hyde's guard.
Hyde wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Jones chips away with some ground and pound.
Jones trying to control but Hyde is working from the bottom.
Hyde is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Jones dives into side control.
Jones happy to just control the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jones grinds an elbow into Hyde's temple.

Jones decides to stand up, so the ref orders Hyde to his feet.
Jones throws a head kick but Hyde moves out of range.

Jones closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Jones moves into full mount! Hyde won't be happy about that!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jones lands a heavy elbow.

It looks like Dan Hyde has been cut.
Oooh a big shot lands for Jones! Hyde is out! The ref dives in to save him from more punishment!
