Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aart Van Strijder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikolai Kovalenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Strijder kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is JAY Z - 99 Problems. Nikolai Kovalenko is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Strijder throws an ugly left hook that misses
letting Kovalenko counter with a right hand.
Van Strijder shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kovalenko but Kovalenko pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kovalenko lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Van Strijder throws a left and a right that both miss
and Kovalenko counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Sloppy strikes from Kovalenko. Those never looked like landing.
Van Strijder swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Kovalenko throws a series of punches but Van Strijder avoids them all with ease.
Kovalenko goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Kovalenko leaves Van Strijder with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Van Strijder takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Van Strijder misses with a right hand
and Kovalenko counters with a nice uppercut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kovalenko looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kovalenko throws a right and a left that Van Strijder avoids nicely.
Oooooh!!! Kovalenko has knocked Van Strijder down with a huge combo! Kovalenko steps away and waves a wobbly Van Strijder back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!
Van Strijder is rocked!
It looks like Aart Van Strijder has been cut.

and Kovalenko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Oh Van Strijder is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Van Strijder is breathing heavily.
Kovalenko cracks Van Strijder's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Van Strijder slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Kovalenko can do further damage! This one is done, son!
