Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Gangmo Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hakataan Paskaks!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Lee displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Paskaks.
Paskaks misses with a lunging right hand
letting Lee counter with a right hand.
Lee could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Paskaks throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lee sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Paskaks fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Paskaks scores with a jab.
Paskaks throws a predictable looking body shot
and Lee counters with a straight right hand.
Paskaks swings widly with a right hand
and Paskaks takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Paskaks lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Paskaks fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Gangmo Lee has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakataan Paskaks.
Lee doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Paskaks counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Lee thinking.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Paskaks gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Lee counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Lee.
Paskaks is looking for a triangle here but Lee uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Lee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lee is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Paskaks knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lee tries for a kimura but Paskaks is defending well.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Paskaks holds on to Lee's head and controls the position momentarily.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Lee wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Paskaks, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Lee is working to tighten is grip on Paskaks's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Paskaks has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Lee is really squeezing tight and eventually Paskaks passes out! Lee breaks the hold and jumps onto the ropes to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
