The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bishi shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Cianci is trying to defend but Bishi finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Cianci regains full guard. Nicely done.

Bishi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Cianci's head.
Cianci wants to sweep here but Bishi controlling him for the moment.

Bishi scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Cianci is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Bishi makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Bishi's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Bishi distracts Cianci with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Bishi thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Cianci is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Bishi has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Bishi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bishi cracks Cianci with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Bishi has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Cianci takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Bishi's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
