Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rabesandratana Randreanaivo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randreanaivo has chosen Insane Clown Posse - Another Love Song as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Rabesandratana Randreanaivo enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Randreanaivo instigates a clinch.

Randreanaivo wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Randreanaivo persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage.

Silva has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Randreanaivo is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Silva.
Silva manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Randreanaivo is taking a breather. Silva says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Rabesandratana Randreanaivo hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Randreanaivo closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Silva to the mat! Silva manages to get full guard.

Silva had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Randreanaivo defends it easily.

Randreanaivo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Silva escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Randreanaivo gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Silva has his foot on Randreanaivo's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Randreanaivo works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Silva working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Randreanaivo has passed into half guard!
Silva is breathing heavily.

Randreanaivo is pressing down on Silva's thigh, looking to free his foot. Silva is holding on for now.
Randreanaivo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rabesandratana Randreanaivo.

Randreanaivo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Silva tries to bench press Randreanaivo off him but Randreanaivo keeps the position.

You can see the frustration on Silva's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Randreanaivo remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Rabesandratana Randreanaivo has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Silva tries for a takedown but Randreanaivo circles away easily
