Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Scott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chairman Mao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Scott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Chairman Mao!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott tries to clinch but Mao is having none of it.
Mao feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Scott sprawling to the canvas! Scott rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mao finish him?!


Scott is rocked!


It looks like Mike Scott has been cut.

Mao closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Oh Scott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mao lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Scott prevents Mao from breaking the clinch.
Mao is looking to break free of the clinch but Scott has double underhooks.
Scott seems to have got his legs back now.
Mao doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Scott throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Mao blocks it with crossed arms.
Scott drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mao gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mao wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Mao is trying to break the clinch but Scott has him pressed against the cage.
Scott tries to pull guard but Mao holds him up against the cage and eventually Scott drops back down to his feet.
Scott tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Mao just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike Scott. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Scott wants a takedown.

Mao drags the fight down to the ground.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Scott with a flurry of punches that miss.

Mao pushes Scott off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Scott is breathing heavily.
No joy there for Mao, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Scott wants to clinch up but Mao keeps it at a distance.

Scott rushes Mao and presses him up against the cage.
Scott could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Scott lands a nice elbow.
Scott tries to score a body lock takedown but Mao shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Scott changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mao fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mao fails to land with a series of punches.
Mao misses with a wild combination.
Mao closes the distance looking to clinch

and Scott counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Scott.
Mao wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Scott has him pressed against the cage.
Mao wants to break the clinch but can't.
Mao is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Mao wants to break free but Scott has control.
Mao wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Mao prevents a takedown attempt there.
Mao lands with a short shot to the head.

Scott pulls guard effortlessly.
Scott is looking to stand up but Mao isn't so interested in that idea.
Scott on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Scott tries to get out of the position.
Scott has a closed guard, preventing Mao from standing up.

Scott has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mao can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Scott wriggles free and stands up.

Scott clinches.
Scott has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mao avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Scott is working for takedown but Mao is calmly controlling the position for now.

Scott escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Scott lands with a kick to the ribs.
Scott closes the distance and clinches up with Mao, looking for a takedown. Scott pushes Mao against the cage but Mao circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mao tries to clinch but Scott moves away

and Scott decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Mao's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott is looking to work some ground and pound but Mao has wrist control.
Mao wants to sweep but no luck.
Scott might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mao wriggles free and stands up.

Scott fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mao, pushing him back against the cage.
Mao tries to break the clinch but Scott is controlling the position.
Scott drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mao gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Mao can't break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mao tries to break the clinch but Scott is controlling the position.
Nice body punch from Mao.
Mao tries to break the clinch but Scott is controlling the position.
Scott lands a nice uppercut.
Scott tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mao smiles and moves away.
Mao throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Scott moves into the clinch.

Scott breaks the clinch.
Mao connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Scott tumbling to the canvas! Mao pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Scott was done - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Chairman Mao!
