Alois comes to the cage accompanied by Promised Land. The crowd seem to be enjoying McDonough's choice of entrance music: The Beast by Tech N9ne. William McDonough has the better chin. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDonough scores with a jab.
Alois tries to clinch there but McDonough circles away.
McDonough shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Alois pinned against the cage. Alois gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Alois tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Alois stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Alois wants it to stay on the feet.
McDonough throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alois stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McDonough's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Alois uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
McDonough cracks a nice hook into Alois's ribs.
Alois lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

McDonough lands a nice hook to Alois's body. Alois takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

McDonough stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

McDonough throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Alois stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McDonough fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Alois looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Alois gets cracked there but stands up to it.
McDonough is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Alois had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
McDonough scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

Alois is rocked!

Alois looks up at the clock. Bad move! McDonough lands a right hand from hell, dropping Alois. McDonough pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
