The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saint Piere fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and St Pierre has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
St Pierre is breathing heavily.

Saint Piere moves into the clinch.

Saint Piere pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
St Pierre looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Saint Piere tries to close the distance and clinch but St Pierre swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Saint Piere cracks St Pierre with an uppercut from hell and St Pierre crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Saint Piere's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!
