Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Thai Trinh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Astrud Rivera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Astrud Rivera!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rivera throws a sloppy head kick
and Trinh connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

It looks like Astrud Rivera has been cut.
Trinh lands with a right hand.

Trinh gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Trinh throws an elbow but it misses.

Trinh breaks the clinch.
Rivera shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Trinh as he avoids it easily.
Trinh closes the distance looking to clinch
and Rivera counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Trinh pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Trinh misses with a double jab

so Rivera counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rivera stands up from Trinh's guard - Rivera perhaps looking for a knockout.
Rivera takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Trinh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Rivera.
Rivera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Trinh is fending him off so far but Rivera persists. Nope, Trinh circles away and we're back to standing.
Thai Trinh has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Astrud Rivera.

Rivera shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Trinh but Trinh pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Trinh tries to clinch there but Rivera circles away.

and Rivera counters with a takedown into side control.

Trinh tries to bench press Rivera off him but Rivera keeps the position.
Trinh is trying to get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Trinh's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Trinh is looking to regain half guard here but Rivera keeps moving and retains side control.

Trinh is trying to reverse the position but instead Rivera has taken his back - oops!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rivera is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.

Rivera is cranking Trinh's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Trinh! He's tightened the choke and Trinh is tapping out!
