Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sven Svensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Smokey Titan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Titan misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Svensen to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Smokey Titan has been cut.

Titan shoots in and bounces Svensen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Titan must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Svensen looking to hit a scissor sweep but Titan is one step ahead there.
Titan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Svensen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Titan wants to get up but he can't break Svensen's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Titan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Svensen swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Svensen manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Titan manages to get himself to full guard.

Svensen escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Titan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Svensen wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Titan wants to control from the top but Svensen keeps moving.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Smokey Titan hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Svensen tries to clinch but Titan moves out of range.

Svensen closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Titan to the mat! Titan manages to get full guard.

Svensen has control of Titan's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Titan regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Svensen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Titan is now in Svensen's guard. A big mistake from Svensen there, giving up the dominant position!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Smokey Titan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Svensen moves in looking to clinch but Titan pushes him off.
Svensen shoots in looking for a takedown. Titan tries to sprawl out of it but Svensen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Titan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Svensen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Titan dives on top into guard.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Svensen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Titan works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Svensen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Titan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Svensen has managed to get both his arms back between Titan's legs - danger averted.

Svensen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Titan is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Svensen enables Titan to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Svensen manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Titan has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Svensen is proving hard to escape from.
