Meisters fails with an attempt to clinch.
Mendez Jr with a lazy takedown attempt

and Meisters counters with a single leg into guard. Mendez Jr didn't expect that.
Meisters working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Meisters throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Mendez Jr works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Mendez Jr working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Meisters doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Mendez Jr is tightening it up a little... Meisters has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight!
