PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Ryoichi Yukimura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenji Ramen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yukimura comes to the cage accompanied by Pleasures of the Combat. Ramen is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Doors- The End. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Kenji Ramen!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Yukimura closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Ramen to the mat! Ramen manages to get full guard.
Yukimura passes Ramen's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Ramen tries to get to full guard but Yukimura has control of the leg.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Yukimura is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Ramen wants to control but Yukimura is keeping busy.
Yukimura seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Ramen landing rabbit punches to the side of Yukimura's head. Not doing much damage but still scoring a few points.

Yukimura is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Yukimura is looking for a kimura but Ramen is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Yukimura to get the leverage.

Ramen flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Ramen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Yukimura. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ramen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Ramen is looking to control Yukimura's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Ramen avoid being mounted?

Yukimura wants to work for an arm triangle but Ramen is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Ramen has a hand on Yukimura's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Yukimura takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Yukimura wants to control the pace but Ramen is squirming around nicely.
Ramen sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.

Yukimura thows a huge punch but Ramen dodges it nicely.

Yukimura decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Ramen uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Yukimura.

Ramen is looking for a sweep.
Ramen wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
Ramen throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Yukimura throws a strike aimed at the side of Ramen's head but Ramen avoids it well.
Yukimura tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Ramen tries to buck Yukimura off but Yukimura is having none of it.

Yukimura goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Ramen has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Yukimura but great work by Ramen.

Ramen lands an elbow.

Yukimura is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Ramen is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
