Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kook Killa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kazushi Rakusaba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rakusaba is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by David Bowie - Suffragette City. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kook Killa!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazushi Rakusaba!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rakusaba uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Killa.
Rakusaba shoots in but no luck this time.
A punch combination from Killa misses.
Killa punishes Rakusaba's body with a nice straight punch.
Rakusaba looks for a takedown but Killa sprawls well.
Rakusaba shoots in for a takedown but Killa shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Kook Killa has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kazushi Rakusaba.
Rakusaba takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Killa misses with a right hand

and Rakusaba counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Killa!
Rakusaba thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Rakusaba prevents Killa from getting the reversal.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Rakusaba controlling the position easily from mount.
Killa is desperately trying to improve his position but Rakusaba has a good base and remains in mount.
Rakusaba content just to control the position here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Killa tries to reverse the position but Rakusaba maintains control.
Killa blocking the ground and pound.
Rakusaba tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Killa wants to control but Rakusaba is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Rakusaba fails to land the takedown.
Killa misses with a series of wild punches.
No luck for Rakusaba with that takedown attempt.
Rakusaba shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Killa defends it nicely.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Killa sizes up Rakusaba with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

It looks like Kazushi Rakusaba has been cut.
Rakusaba fails to land the takedown.
Rakusaba takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Rakusaba will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Killa lunges at Rakusaba with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Rakusaba's hand.
Rakusaba drops his hands momentarily and Killa takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Killa misses with a straight right.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kook Killa dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Kazushi Rakusaba's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Killa lands a brutal head kick. Rakusaba looks out on his feet and Killa throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
