The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Savage looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Savage tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

McFly shoots in and bounces Savage off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
McFly wants to control from the top but Savage keeps moving.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

It looks like Bojangles McFly has been cut.
Savage defending well as McFly loads up on a big left hand.

Savage is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in McFly's half guard.

Savage tries to pass the half guard into mount. McFly knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Savage wants to control from the top but McFly keeps moving.

McFly wants to finish this one by submission but Savage is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McFly.

McFly wants to control the pace but Savage is squirming around nicely.

Savage is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

McFly goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Savage turns into him and now he's in McFly's guard.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Savage falls off balance throwing a combination
and McFly counters with a stiff right hand.
Savage throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck McFly on the side of the head.
Savage cracks McFly with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
McFly is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Savage rather than just go for the knockout.

McFly scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

McFly is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Savage has escaped the position, nice work there.
Savage wants to get back to his feet but McFly drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McFly is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Savage is trying to escape and McFly transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Savage is forced to tap! Nice work there by McFly! Very nice indeed!
