Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Vad Velara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demarcus Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Vad Velara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Demarcus Williams!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams tries to bum rush Velara with a series of wild strikes but Velara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

enabling Velara to counter with a crisp jab.

and Williams counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Velara shoots in and gets a takedown into Williams's guard.

Velara will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

It looks like Williams might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

You get the feeling that Velara really doesn't like being in this position too much.
