Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Ibragimov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spaz Mcgee!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Bruno Hogan and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ibragimov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Ibragimov wants to get up but he can't break Mcgee's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ibragimov got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mcgee has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ibragimov has managed to get both his arms back between Mcgee's legs - danger averted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Mcgee working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ibragimov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Ibragimov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Ibragimov knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mcgee on the ground.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Spaz Mcgee will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Mcgee tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ibragimov swivels and escapes.

Mcgee fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ibragimov sprawls well initially but Mcgee persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Mcgee is trying to control. Ibragimov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Ibragimov tries to roll over but Mcgee keeps him under control.
Ibragimov wants to get back to his feet.
Mcgee is taking a breather. Ibragimov says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ibragimov is staying active underneath Mcgee, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Ibragimov is looking to improve his position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Spaz Mcgee.
Ibragimov throws a head kick that misses.
Mcgee fails with a takedown attempt.

Ibragimov looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Ibragimov wants to take a breather but Mcgee is having none of it.

Mcgee looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Ibragimov wants to control but Mcgee is keeping him busy.

Mcgee is breathing heavily.
Mcgee is pressing down on Ibragimov's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Ibragimov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ibragimov trying to control the position from guard on top but Mcgee is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Mcgee has his foot on Ibragimov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ibragimov works his way back into a safe position though.

Ibragimov is posturing up here but Mcgee has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Ibragimov tries to roll out but it's too tight and Ibragimov has to tap! Slick submission there by Mcgee!
