And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sullivan misses with a takedown attempt - Valtna sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Sullivan circles away from the clinch attempt.

Sullivan shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Valtna's guard.
Valtna is controlling Sullivan's posture.
Sullivan working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Valtna controls Sullivan momentarily but Sullivan frees himself.
Sullivan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Valtna swivels though and keeps the full guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kaarel Valtna hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
A head kick by Valtna misses

and Sullivan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Valtna won't be happy with that.

Sullivan misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Valtna can't do much from the bottom here.
Valtna is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Sullivan is controlling him well.
Valtna is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sullivan's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Sullivan winds up and cracks Valtna with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Valtna has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sullivan is working away from the top position though.

Valtna kicks off Sullivan and gets to his feet.

Valtna goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Valtna changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Sullivan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Valtna in side control, throwing shots but Sullivan defends.
Valtna tries to move into full mount but can't pass Sullivan's legs.
Valtna misses with the ground and pound.

Valtna is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Sullivan looks calm but he's in trouble here. Valtna gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Sullivan is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Valtna lets go of the hold and Sullivan can pop his arm back in it's socket.
