Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Sam Karales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rob Pato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karales has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karales closes the distance and clinches.

Karales pulls guard successfully.
Pato wants to control from the top but Karales keeps moving.
Pato trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Pato gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
A head kick misses from Karales.

Pato has closed the distance and engaged Karales in a clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Pato misses with an elbow over the top.
Pato looking for a takedown.

Pato is trying to trip Karales. He has hold of a leg but Karales is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Pato persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Pato wants to control from the top but Karales keeps moving.

Karales is breathing heavily.

Pato with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Karales is looking to stand up but Pato isn't so interested in that idea.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Karales fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Pato checks it well.
Pato throws a body punch but Karales moves out of range.

Pato closes the distance and clinches.
Karales is trying to maintain a safe position but Pato gets an underhook and turns Karales into the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Pato jumps into guard, dragging Karales to the mat.
Karales trying to control the position from guard on top but Pato is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Pato looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Pato keeping busy on the bottom but Karales has passed one foot through into half guard.
Pato is trying to get back to full guard.

Karales stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Pato to get to his feet.

and Karales counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pato!

The crowd are getting on Pato's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Pato works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pato passes the guard and advances to mount!
Pato tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pato is in the full mount, landing strikes.

Pato has isolated one of Karales's arms. Karales looking to fight him off but Pato twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
