Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kuba Kubaa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landon Ricketts (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Landon Ricketts is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Kuba Kubaa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Landon Ricketts!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricketts pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A clash of legs there as Kubaa blocks the low kick.
Kubaa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ricketts circles away.
Ricketts throws a sloppy head kick and Kubaa moves out of range easily.
Ricketts throws a head kick that misses.
Ricketts misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ricketts is looking to score with low kicks.
Kubaa tries to clinch there but Ricketts circles away.
Ricketts throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Ricketts throws a shot from downtown. Kubaa moves away and avoids it.
Kubaa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ricketts paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ricketts lands with a kick to the temple. Kubaa shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Ricketts wants to slow Kubaa down by chopping away at his legs.
Ricketts lands a nice shot that snaps Kubaa's head back.
Ricketts bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kubaa's head backwards.
Kubaa avoids a punch combination nicely.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Ricketts lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Ricketts.
Kubaa tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ricketts paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Kubaa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Ricketts defends it nicely.
Ricketts throws a hook but Kubaa blocks it.
Kubaa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ricketts tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kubaa was well out of range. Poor timing from Ricketts.
Ricketts throws a lazy right hand but Kubaa sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kubaa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Ricketts.
A slow jab from Ricketts misses its intended target.
Kubaa shoots for a double leg takedown but Ricketts sprawls well. He's pushed Kubaa's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kuba Kubaa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kubaa shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ricketts is trying to defend but Kubaa finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ricketts regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kubaa.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ricketts keeping moving, preventing Kubaa from controlling successfully.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Kubaa passes Ricketts's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Kubaa takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Kubaa moves nicely into side control.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Kubaa in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Ricketts is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
