Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tane Henderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Randy Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davis gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Henderson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Davis is proving hard to escape from.
Davis wants to sweep but no luck.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Davis working for a triangle but Henderson defends it easily.
Henderson wants to get up but he can't break Davis's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Henderson lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Henderson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Davis on the ground.

Davis had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Henderson is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Davis Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Henderson's back instead.
Well, with Davis on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Henderson is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Henderson is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
