Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamal McCoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cookie Monster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McCoy gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Monster to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Monster throwing strikes but missing.
Monster has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Monster makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
McCoy working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Monster.
McCoy is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Monster is looking for a sweep. McCoy is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Monster wants to get back to full guard but McCoy has mounted him!
Monster tries to hold on but McCoy pushes him away.
Monster is working to get back to half guard.

Monster gets back to half guard.
Monster is holding on to half guard well.
Monster wants to control but McCoy is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Monster is refusing to be controlled, as McCoy sits in half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Monster is trying to maintain the position but McCoy is very close to passing his half guard.

Monster is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but McCoy pulls his head out easily.
Monster regains full guard. Nicely done.

Monster has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. McCoy doesn't defend quickly enough and Monster has managed to lock this one up! Can McCoy escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Monster on a fantastic submission victory.
