Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Ruanti (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Zimmerman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zimmerman has chosen Run This Town (Jay Z feat. Rhianna) as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zimmerman shoots in looking for a takedown. Ruanti tries to sprawl out of it but Zimmerman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ruanti manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Zimmerman takes a head kick and keeps coming.

It looks like Robert Zimmerman has been cut.
Ruanti looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A decent looking cross lands there for Ruanti.
Zimmerman fails with the takedown.
Ruanti throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Zimmerman.

Ruanti paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Ruanti turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Ruanti tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Ruanti takes a swing at Zimmerman's ribcage but misses.
Ruanti will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Zimmerman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Ruanti throws out the jab.
Ruanti throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Zimmerman just misses with a punch to the body.
Daniel Ruanti seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ruanti lands with a nice body kick.
Ruanti uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Zimmerman has time to react.
Daniel Ruanti is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ruanti throws a looping overhand right but Zimmerman ducks down to avoid it.

Ruanti tries a low kick but Zimmerman avoids it.
Ruanti misses with a hook. Zimmerman ducked under it nicely.
Zimmerman throws out a loose jab but Ruanti uses good head movement to avoid it.
Ruanti dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Zimmerman. That did some damage!

Ruanti lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Zimmerman takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Ruanti lands with a straight right. Zimmerman didn't see that one coming.

Zimmerman is rocked!
Zimmerman glances at the clock... BAM! Ruanti nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Zimmerman crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Zimmerman is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
