Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between matt terra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and tommy gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
gun tries a head kick but it misses.
terra really is a fat lump.

gun gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
terra wants a takedown.
gun has had enough of the clinch but terra keeps him there for the moment.
terra stalling in the clinch but gun improves position.
terra changes levels and goes for a takedown here. gun fights it off and pushes away nicely.
terra showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from gun.
gun throws a right and a left that terra avoids nicely.
gun fails to land with a series of punches.
gun shoots in looking for a takedown. terra tries to sprawl out of it but gun keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. terra manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
gun swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
gun throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
gun takes a swing at terra's ribcage but misses.

terra checks a leg kick.
terra fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for matt terra. That's going to take a lot out of him.
gun cracks terra with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

terra changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. gun looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

terra working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

terra is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but gun is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
terra wants to control but gun is keeping him busy.

terra wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by gun, who protects the arm well.
terra is breathing heavily.
gun is not content to let terra control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

terra is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, gun has escaped the position, nice work there.
terra prevents gun from escaping the position.
terra working away.

terra is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. gun knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
gun lands a nice leg kick that just misses terra's sensitive parts.
gun moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

terra shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says gun as he avoids it easily.
gun misses with a jab, cross combination.
gun does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
terra throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around gun's waist but gun gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing terra off to one side.
terra moves away from the strike by gun.
gun misses with a series of wild punches.
terra changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. gun tries to avoid it but terra manages to keep hold of a leg and drag gun to the ground. gun escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

terra looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for gun!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

terra has hold of gun's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and gun manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
terra takes gun's back.

terra is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. gun defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
A lull in the action here.
