The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Juarez throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Nice straight punches there by Almer. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Almer.
Almer ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Juarez moves away.

Almer has taken the fight to the clinch.
Juarez tries to break the clinch but Almer is controlling the position.
A right handed body shot lands from Almer.
Almer lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

It looks like Javito Juarez has been cut.
Almer landing knees to the body.
Almer lands a body punch.
Almer scores with a shot to the side of Juarez's head.
Almer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Juarezs head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Almer's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Juarez avoids the body shot from Almer.
Juarez throws a series of punches but Almer avoids them all with ease.

Almer fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Juarez, pushing him back against the cage.

Almer lands an elbow just above Juarez 's eye.
Juarez is breathing heavily.
A nice glancing elbow lands by Almer.
Juarez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Almer smiles and moves away.
Almer dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Juarez. That did some damage!
That kick from Almer tenderised Juarez's leg. Juarez is trying to keep his angry face on.
Juarez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Almer throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A left lands for Almer.

Juarez is rocked!

Almer cracks a nice hook into Juarez's ribs.
Oh Juarez is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Both fighters circling a little - Almer finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Thiago Almer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
