Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rashad Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Toni Ramalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson's entrance music is Mortal Kombat. A fine choice. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rashad Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Toni Ramalho!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jackson shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Jackson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Jackson working the head and body with strikes.
Jackson working over Ramalho with some ground and pound. Ramalho looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Ramalho moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Jackson looking to pass the guard.
Jackson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ramalho's head.
Ramalho is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Ramalho wants to free his trapped foot but Jackson is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Ramalho is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well.

Ramalho trying to control the action but Jackson is working from the bottom.
Jackson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ramalho on the ground.

Jackson is refusing to be controlled, as Ramalho sits in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ramalho prevents Jackson from improving his position.

Ramalho is working for a submission of some sort.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jackson wants to get back to full guard but Ramalho has passed into side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ramalho can't control as he wanted to and Jackson manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
Ramalho tries to stand and escape but Jackson is controlling the position.
Ramalho looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Ramalho sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jackson defending well though.

Jackson wants to improve his position but Ramalho is controlling well.
Ramalho wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jackson keeps working.
Jackson tries to get to full guard but Ramalho has control of the leg.
Ramalho missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Jackson wants to improve his position but Ramalho is controlling well.
Ramalho wants to stand up but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson tries to get to full guard but Ramalho has control of the leg.
Jackson wants to sweep but Ramalho has passed to side control!
Jackson is looking for a sweep.
Ramalho throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Jackson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ramalho utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Jackson throws a big right hand that misses.
Jackson lands a couple of elbows.
Ramalho preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ramalho is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Jackson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ramalho is keeping the position for now.
Jackson throws a big right hand that misses.
Ramalho has momentary wrist control but Jackson slips an elbow through the middle.
Jackson works over Ramalho with some ground and pound from guard.
Jackson connects with a couple of short punches.
Jackson lands a couple of elbows.

Ramalho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jackson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Ramalho is breathing heavily.
Jackson keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ramalho's head.


Ramalho is rocked!
Jackson postures up and lands a big shot to Ramalho's brow.
Jackson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Ramalho is still in real trouble! Can Jackson finish him?
Jackson arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ramalho's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Rashad Jackson!
