Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sanders lands a really nice looking cross but Tonu U seems unphased.

Tonu U closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sanders to the mat! Sanders manages to get full guard.
Tonu U wants to pass the guard but Sanders is keeping the position.

Tonu U gets to his feet. Sanders looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Tonu U fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sanders throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

It looks like Junior Tonu U has been cut.
Sanders looks to score with a jab to the body but Tonu U is just out of range.
Sanders throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Sanders throws a leg kick but Tonu U moved away.
Tonu U tries to score a power double leg takedown but Sanders sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Tonu U somewhat.

Sanders tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Tonu U takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Sanders cracks a nice hook into Tonu U's ribs.

Tonu U takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Tonu U shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tonu U cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Tonu U has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Tonu U is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Sanders has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Tonu U takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Junior Tonu U just wasn't active enough.
Sanders misses with a head kick.
Tonu U takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Sanders thows a body shot but no joy.
Junior Tonu U seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Sanders connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Sanders is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tonu U rather than just go for the knockout.

Tonu U closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Sanders did well to prevent Tonu U getting side control.

Sanders won't allow Tonu U to pass to mount.
Tonu U is taking a breather. Sanders says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Sanders looks like he's trying to stand up.
Sanders is breathing heavily.

Tonu U decides to return to a standing position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Tonu U tries to clinch up.
Sanders lands with a hook. Tonu U tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Sanders throws a sloppy head kick and Tonu U moves out of range easily.

Sanders throws a series of punches but Tonu U moves out of range.
Tonu U missing with a left hand there. Sanders was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Sanders enables Tonu U to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Sanders manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Tonu U stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanders swivels though and keeps the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Sanders throws the kick towards the body but Tonu U avoids it.
Tonu U blocks a head kick by Sanders.
Sanders has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
