Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Flare (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thiago Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva misses with a takedown
and Flare counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
enabling Flare to counter with a crisp jab.
Thiago Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Silva counters with a nice double leg into side control. Flare won't be happy with that.
Flare is trying to control Silva's posture but Silva avoids it.
I wouldn't like to be where Flare is right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Flare sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Silva thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Flare to regain full guard.

Silva thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Flare counters by moving into the clinch.
Silva tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Flare turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Flare manages to end up in side control.

Silva tries to sprawl but Flare drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Flare has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Silva defend it? Flare steps over the head and cranks it - Silva is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Flare!
