Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zack Mafusa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Javier Calle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Zack Mafusa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Javier Calle!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mafusa fails with the takedown
enabling Calle to counter with a crisp jab.
Mafusa looks to score with a jab to the body but Calle is just out of range.
Mafusa shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mafusa takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Calle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mafusa's guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Calle working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mafusa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mafusa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Calle is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Mafusa gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Mafusa closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Calle quickly recovers to half guard.

Calle escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mafusa gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Mafusa got a little sloppy there for a moment and Calle has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mafusa has managed to get both his arms back between Calle's legs - danger averted.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Calle is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Mafusa to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mafusa shrugs it off.

Well Calle has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
