The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donaire jr misses with a takedown attempt
and Winchester counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Nonito Donaire jr has been cut.
Donaire jr tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Winchester manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
No joy there for Winchester, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Winchester shoots in looking for a takedown. Donaire jr tries to sprawl out of it but Winchester keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Donaire jr manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Donaire jr gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Winchester looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Winchester has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Winchester tries to free his leg and advance position but Donaire jr is retaining full guard.
Donaire jr doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Donaire jr controls Winchester momentarily but Winchester frees himself.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Winchester trying to control the position from guard on top but Donaire jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Winchester tries to keep at a distance but Donaire jr has taken the fight into the clinch.

Donaire jr manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Winchester slips nicely into half guard.
