The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Racken gets a takedown into half guard.
Racken looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Wright looking for submissions off his back.
Racken throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Wright manages to get to full guard.

Wright working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Racken doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Racken manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wright has his feet on Racken's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Wright dives in and scores a takedown into Racken's guard.

Let's hope that Wright has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Evander Wright wasn't active enough on the ground.

Wright closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Racken to the mat! Racken manages to get full guard.
Wright stands up over Racken, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Wright gets to his feet. Racken looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Wright looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Wright has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Racken defend it? Wright steps over the head and cranks it - Racken is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Wright!
