PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ground Pounder (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hammer Mack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mack has chosen Elephant Man - Haters (feat Hunt & Jim Jones) as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ground Pounder!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Cecil Peabody and Chris Downing.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pounder fails with the takedown
letting Mack counter with a right hand.
Mack keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Pounder loads up on a big right hand but Mack slips the punch.
Pounder throws a poor cross that misses
and Mack counters with a straight right hand.
A nice combination there by Mack.
Mack uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pounder.

A looping hook to the body misses from Pounder. Mack does a little dance to reset his feet.
Mack jabs Pounder right on the nose. Pounder blinks but takes it well.
Pounder doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Mack connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Mack takes a jab right on the kisser.

Pounder feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Mack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pounder defends it easily.
Pounder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Pounder lands a couple of elbows.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Mack isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Pounder stacks Mack on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Pounder!

Pounder lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Mack is rocked!
Pounder looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Mack covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
