The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darwin closes this distance looking for a takedown but Ghambaryan circles away.
Horrible takedown by Darwin or perhaps it was just good defense by Ghambaryan which made him look bad.
Ghambaryan pushes Darwin away with a front kick.
Ghambaryan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Ghambaryan throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.

Darwin shoots in and bounces Ghambaryan off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Darwin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Darwin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Darwin shoots in looking for a takedown. Ghambaryan tries to sprawl out of it but Darwin keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Ghambaryan manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Darwin jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Ghambaryan walks away with a smile on his face. Darwin gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Ghambaryan connects with a leg kick. Darwin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

Ghambaryan throws a leg kick which misses Darwin's front leg but catches the back leg as Darwin tries to avoid it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ghambaryan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
