The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buffington closes the distance but Chivara moves to the side
and Chivara counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Buffington swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
No luck for Chivara with that takedown attempt.
Buffington closes the distance looking to clinch

and Chivara counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Chivara tries to stand but can't do so whilst Buffington controls his leg.
Buffington works his way to full guard. Good work.
Buffington is trying to control the position but Chivara postures up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Biff Buffington hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
