Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Fabio Melo!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Preuss throws a poor cross that misses
and Melo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Melo tries to clinch up but Preuss circles away and keeps his distance.
Preuss misses with a wild combination.
Melo staying out of range there.
Melo shoots in looking for a takedown. Preuss tries to sprawl out of it but Melo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Preuss manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Melo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Melo drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Preuss throws out a powerful jab.
Preuss throws a left and a right that both miss
and Melo counters with a two punch combo.
Melo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Preuss as he avoids it easily.
J Aldo Preuss has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabio Melo.
Melo will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Preuss throws an overhand right that lands on Melo's shoulder, as Melo tries to avoid the shot.
Preuss throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Preuss feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Melo sprawling to the canvas! Melo rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Preuss finish him?!

Melo is rocked!
J Aldo Preuss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Preuss circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Melo tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Preuss wins by KO!
