The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stryker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vass Jr was covering up waiting for the punch and Stryker finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Vass Jr is trying to control the position but Stryker postures up.
Vass Jr could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Vass Jr scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Stryker closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Vass Jr misses with some punches.
Vass Jr goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Vass Jr tries to pull guard but Stryker won't allow it.

Stryker pulls guard successfully.
Vass Jr advances to half guard.

Vass Jr is pressing down on Stryker's thigh, looking to free his foot. Stryker is holding on for now.
Stryker is refusing to be controlled, as Vass Jr sits in half guard.
Stryker wants to control but Vass Jr is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Vass Jr wants to take a breather but Stryker is having none of it.
Stryker blocking the ground and pound attempt from Vass Jr.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Nick Vass Jr just wasn't active enough.

Vass Jr feints and as Stryker raises his hands in defense, Vass Jr changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Stryker has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Stryker wants to get back to his feet but Vass Jr is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Vass Jr wants to pass the guard but Stryker is keeping the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Vass Jr's corner is telling him to maintain position.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Vass Jr gets underhooks to prevent Stryker's takedown attempt.

Stryker gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Vass Jr regains guard.

Vass Jr is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Stryker has his hands clasped together but Vass Jr extends an breaks Stryker's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Vass Jr.
