Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Steve Fontana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hajime Susumu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fontana comes to the cage accompanied by Queensryche - Silent Lucidity. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Steve Fontana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Hajime Susumu!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, George Francis and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fontana is defended easily by Susumu.
Fontana tries to clinch but Susumu moves out of range.
Fontana misses with a looping left.
Susumu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Fontana pinned against the cage. Fontana gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Susumu throws a leg kick but Fontana sees it coming and moves out of range.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Susumu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Fontana tries to pull guard but Susumu won't allow it.

The strikes coming from Susumu are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Susumu has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Susumu dives in and grabs Fontana's left leg, looking for a takedown. Fontana pushes down on Susumu's head and hops out.
Steve Fontana has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hajime Susumu.

Hajime Susumu comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Susumu has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
