Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Puff Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joao Carlos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carlos comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Nego drama kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Edson Gomes and Seu Braga.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson stalks Carlos and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Carlos's face. Carlos staggers backwards, shaken.
Anderson connects with an inside leg kick.
Good shot there by Anderson.
Carlos throws a combination that misses
and Anderson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Carlos's knee momentarily.
Crunch! Anderson slams his shin into Carlos's torso.
Anderson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Anderson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carlos.
Anderson cracks the inside of Carlos's front leg.
Carlos shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense.
Carlos shoots in looking for a takedown. Anderson tries to sprawl out of it but Carlos keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Anderson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Puff Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joao Carlos.
Anderson closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Anderson thuds a left hand into Carlos's body.
Carlos throws a right hand that misses
and Anderson counters with a good low kick that Carlos was not able to check.

and Anderson counters with a big head kick but Carlos shrugs it off.
Anderson works the jab nicely.
Carlos dives in and grabs Anderson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes down on Carlos's head and hops out.
Anderson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Carlos is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Anderson's half guard.

Anderson is not content to let Carlos control the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Carlos is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Carlos maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Anderson could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Carlos has cracked it and Anderson is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Carlos!
