Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Notorious BIG (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocco Urso (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urso has chosen Big Ten Inch as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Rocco Urso has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Notorious BIG!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rocco Urso!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Anthony Taglia and Franklyn Lucas.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
BIG blocks a head kick by Urso.
Urso throws a head kick that misses.
Urso tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Urso tries to close the distance and clinch up but BIG swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Urso swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Urso misses with an attempted mid kick.
Urso throws a head kick that misses.
BIG closes the distance and clinches up with Urso, looking for a takedown. BIG pushes Urso against the cage but Urso circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A nice inside leg kick there by BIG. That's going to slow Urso down.
Urso throws a series of punches but BIG moves out of range.
Urso connects with a solid leg kick.
Urso thows a body shot but no joy.

and BIG counters with an outside leg kick.
Urso looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Urso throws a head kick that misses.
Urso displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as BIG throws out the jab.
BIG fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
BIG misses with a hook. Urso ducked under it nicely.
Urso closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

BIG looking for submissions off his back.
BIG gets back to full guard.
Urso tries to free his leg and advance position but BIG is retaining full guard.
BIG is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Urso controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
BIG escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Urso gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
BIG is breathing heavily.
Urso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. BIG swivels though and keeps the full guard.
BIG is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

BIG wants to sweep but no luck.
BIG looking for a guillotine here but Urso defends easily.
Urso drops back looking for a leg! BIG is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and BIG manages to kick Urso off! Urso jumps back into BIG's guard.
Urso drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Urso jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Urso passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Urso wants to control but BIG is keeping him busy.
BIG tries to improve position but can't.
Urso stands up.

Urso throws a front kick that sends BIG stumbling back into the cage.
Urso throws a nice looking combination but BIG bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Urso wants to clinch but BIG slips to the side
and BIG counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Urso closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
BIG is trying to improve his position.
BIG manages to work his way to half guard, despite Urso's best efforts.
BIG trying to hold on to Urso's head to control him but Urso postures up.
BIG tries to kick Urso off but Urso keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
BIG actively working from the bottom here.
BIG is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The fighters are battling for position here. BIG manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

BIG working for a triangle but Urso defends it easily.
BIG has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Urso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Urso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. BIG swivels though and keeps the full guard.
BIG tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
BIG has his foot on Urso's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Urso works his way back into a safe position though.
BIG working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Urso has passed into half guard!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Urso is looking for a kimura but BIG is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Urso to get the leverage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Notorious BIG will probably get the nod.

BIG fails with the takedown.
Urso throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and BIG counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Urso's guard now.
BIG passes Urso's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Urso has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. BIG is working away from the top position though.
BIG is looking for a kimura here.

Urso is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but BIG pulls his head out easily.

Urso is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of BIG's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take BIG's back!

BIG rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Urso can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as BIG is looking to escape.

Urso won't allow BIG to sweep him here.
BIG looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Urso slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Urso prevents BIG from getting back to his feet.
BIG is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
BIG with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
BIG wants to work for an arm triangle but Urso is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
BIG is pressing down on Urso's thigh, looking to free his foot. Urso is holding on for now.

BIG moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Urso has worked his arm free - good work by Urso!

BIG jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Urso manages to avoid the submission attempt.
BIG connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Urso some visible discomfort.
Urso prevents BIG from improving position.
BIG working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
BIG has hold of Urso's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Urso tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - BIG cranks the arm and Urso screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Urso, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
