The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patrushev fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Kovrov avoids it really well and circles away.
Patrushev shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kovrov pinned against the cage. Kovrov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Patrushev is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kovrov sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Alexsandr Kovrov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sergei Patrushev.
Patrushev shoots in for a double leg but Kovrov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Alexsandr Kovrov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Patrushev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Kovrov jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.

Patrushev drops his hands momentarily and Kovrov needs no second invitation. He sets himself and throws a perfect high kick, that clips Patrushev just on the top of the head. Patrushev drops like a sack of potatoes to the canvas, out cold! Oooooooh yeah! Stick a fork in Patrushev - he's done!
