The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
John scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Markus St Pierre seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
John stalks St Pierre and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into St Pierre's face. St Pierre staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Markus St Pierre has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
St Pierre sizes up John with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
John fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
John lands a nice looking body shot.
St Pierre is breathing heavily.
Sloppy strikes from John. Those never looked like landing.
St Pierre moves forwards but John connects with a nice, crisp jab.
St Pierre throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and John counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
John moves into range and connects with a jab.
St Pierre doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
John feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending St Pierre crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
