Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Hairy Bear!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nycky Downtime!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Donatello Bradman and Hugh Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bear has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Downtime.

Downtime fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bear, pushing him back against the cage.

Bear jumps into guard, dragging Downtime to the mat.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Downtime wants to control from the top but Bear keeps moving.
Downtime stopping the sweep attempt from Bear.

Downtime is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Bear is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Bear has escaped and now he's on top!
Downtime looking to control.
Downtime is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Downtime has his hands on Bear's head, controlling the position.

Nycky Downtime has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bear misses with a looping left.
Hairy Bear is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Downtime closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bear did well to prevent Downtime getting side control.
Downtime not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bear is looking to improve his position.
Downtime is pressing down on Bear's thigh, looking to free his foot. Bear is holding on for now.

Downtime is working for a submission of some sort.
Downtime thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Downtime is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bear has managed to free his arm - good work.

Bear is trying to maintain the position but Downtime is very close to passing his half guard.
Downtime content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Downtime is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bear doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Downtime.
Bear is staying active underneath Downtime, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bear slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Downtime showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Downtime trying to control but Bear is working from the bottom.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Bear throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Bear is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Downtime defends well.

Bear looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Bear is looking for a triangle but Downtime pushes his legs off easily.
Downtime is stalling in the full guard.
Bear looking to control.
Downtime's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Downtime is pushing down on Bear's leg trying to pass to half guard. Bear is fighting to maintain full guard but Downtime has managed to sneak the leg through.
Bear works his way to full guard. Good work.
Downtime is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Downtime stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bear swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Downtime working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Downtime scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Bear is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Downtime pulls his head out easily.
Bear is trying is best to control the position here.
Downtime passes to full mount!
Downtime moves to the back position.

Downtime is looking for the choke from the back position but Bear is controlling his hands well.
Bear staying busy and making it hard for Downtime to control.
Downtime has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Bear's body.

Downtime is cranking Bear's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Bear! He's tightened the choke and Bear is tapping out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Nycky Downtime!
