PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Isiah Acer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kaiser Soze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Acer comes into the arena with Mad at Gravity- Burn blaring out of the sound system. Kaiser Soze is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Soze shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Acer counters with a straight right hand.
A shot to the body from Soze misses
and Acer counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Soze moves to clinch but Acer breaks away
and Acer counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Acer misses with a lunging right hand

and Soze decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Acer's guard.
Acer throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Soze works over Acer with some ground and pound from guard.
Acer lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Soze!
Soze wants to hold on but Acer pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Soze's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Acer throwing strikes here but Soze is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Acer sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
BOOM! Acer connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Soze can't escape the position.

Soze avoids a series of strikes thrown by Acer.

Acer is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Soze has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Soze!

Acer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Soze stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Acer swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Acer bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Soze's guard.
Acer is looking to advance position but Soze has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Acer is bucking up trying to escape but Soze cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Soze breaks from Acer's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Acer is trying desperately to improve position.
Soze tries to control but Acer wriggling away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Soze with a couple of short strikes.
