The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fernayen closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Fernayen swings around for an armbar but Routalempi sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Fernayen's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fernayen working for submissions but it's allowed Routalempi to get to half guard.

Fernayen walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Routalempi cracks Fernayen with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Routalempi has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Fernayen to stand back up!

Routalempi digs a good body shot into Fernayen's ribs.
Oh Fernayen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Fernayen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Routalempi circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Fernayen to the canvas! Fernayen doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Routalempi keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
