Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gunderson shoots in and bounces Alexander off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gunderson stands up over Alexander, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Gunderson drops back looking for a leg! Alexander is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Alexander manages to kick Gunderson off! Gunderson jumps back into Alexander's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gunderson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gunderson wants to work for an arm triangle but Alexander is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Gunderson is working for a kimura but Alexander is defending it quite comfortably.
Alexander is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Gunderson stops Alexander from getting back to his feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Gunderson has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
You get the feeling that Alexander really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Gunderson has hold of Alexander's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Alexander manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Alexander really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gunderson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gunderson goes for an armbar but Alexander turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Alexander.

Alexander gets to his feet and stands over Gunderson, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Gunderson felt that one! Alexander unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Gunderson from any more punishment!
