Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Juan Kombat (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Piper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kombat comes to the cage accompanied by GWAR - Immortal Corrupter. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Peter Piper enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Kombat!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Peter Piper!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kombat takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Piper swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Kombat counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Kombat shoots in and gets a takedown into Piper's guard.
Kombat controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Kombat has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Kombat thows a big elbow that misses.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Piper is trying to keep Kombat in close.

You can see the frustration on Piper's face as Kombat controls the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Piper is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Kombat has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Kombat seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Piper for as long as he can get away with.
Piper is in a horrible position here. Kombat smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Kombat is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Piper is surviving well by controlling Kombat's body position as best he can.

Piper tries to hold on but Kombat postures up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Kombat cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kombat is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Piper can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Kombat lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Piper hang on?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Kombat will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kombat is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Piper can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Piper is looking to improve his position but Kombat isn't that keen on the idea.

Kombat drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kombat is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Piper can do to turn this around?
Kombat changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Piper fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Piper swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Piper wants to sweep but no luck.
Kombat slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
