The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Corleone looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Corleone wants to pass the guard but Patterson is keeping the position.
Corleone must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Corleone is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Patterson is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Patterson has escaped and now he's on top!

Corleone is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Patterson wants to take a breather but Corleone is having none of it.
Corleone is trying to stand.
Patterson works his foot free and advances to mount.

Patterson stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Patterson is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Corleone.

It looks like Donald Patterson has been cut.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Corleone.
Corleone looks gassed!

Patterson rushes Corleone and presses him up against the cage.
Corleone tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Patterson smiles and moves away.
Corleone will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Patterson is looking to slow Corleone down with leg kicks.

It looks like Sonny Corleone has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Patterson! Corleone is out on his feet! Patterson rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Corleone is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Corleone is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
